Being prepared will limit your losses
CIPT disaster planning expertise is based on experience and technical skills in many related fields, as well as extensive training. We begin by taking a full assessment of your facilities, identifying its hazards and vulnerabilities. As a team coming from the outside, we bring a fresh, realistic approach to your organization. Our services include:

Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
Planning to keep a business functioning during a disaster, particularly ones that are local in nature. For example, around the Seattle area, the predominant threat is flooding and earthquake. On the east side of the mountains, the predominant threat may be brush fire or draught. Once these threat types are identified, a plan is written to assist the business in mitigating the damage caused by the local threat.

Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
BCP identifies critical business functions that must be kept running in order for the business to survive. For example, in a retail business, this may involve customer relations, internal operations, financial, and legal/statutory. In the case of a manufacturing business, labor relations may be used as one criteria; the manufacturing process another.

Community Disaster Planning (and Rural Community Disaster Planning)
When a community finds itself at risk of one or more natural or manmade disasters, it can have a plan to mitigate loss from the perceived or real threat. In large cities this is also referred to as neighborhood disaster planning.

Continuity of Operations (COOP)
This is the governmental version of Business continuity Planning, dealing with keeping critical governmental functions operating during a disaster.

Cyber and Physical Security
This service focuses on protecting valuable information and data, and we would develop a plan that would utilize both virtual and physical deterrents to intruders.

Small Hospital and Small Clinic Disaster Planning

Healthcare organizations are the first to be overwhelmed by disasters due to a lack of resources. Our particular expertise in hospitals allows us to create plans that are uniquely effective for healthcare providers.

Humanitarian Logistics
This refers to developing a plan to get the most needed services to the greatest number of people. In recent years, this has meant contracting with local merchants to provide goods and services, rather than transporting massive amounts of goods and foods to an area.

Marine Cargo and Intermodal Operations
Intermodal marine cargo and intermodal air cargo deals with several distinct features, such as speed, volume of cargo, weather, labor relations, power supply. These features take on difference degrees of importance depending on each situation.
